The primary goals of this course are to familiarize practitioners with the equipment used for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and the techniques used for removal of foreign bodies in the upper GI and respiratory tracts. With four instructors from different clinical backgrounds, it is designed with hands on learning and interactive discussion in mind. This course combines 11-hours of lab with 5-hours of lecture and focuses on practical endoscopy skills management of endoscopic foreign bodies in the cat and dog.

2. Endoscopic examination of the upper gastrointestinal tract
3. Endoscopic examination of the nasopharynx and trachea
4. Gastric, esophageal, and simple respiratory foreign body removal
5. Clinical assessment and management pearls for these patients
