Advanced Surgical Procedures for the General Practitioners: Urinary and Gastrointestinal

During this course, participants will hear the most up-to-date information regarding urinary tract and gastrointestinal disease with a focus on surgical management of both benign and malignant disease. Lectures will be followed by laboratories that focus on having the participants perform the same procedures that were highlighted during the lectures. At the end of this course, participants will feel comfortable with many different urinary tract and gastrointestinal procedures, with a focus on procedures such as cystotomy, urethrostomy, gastrotomy, biopsy, enterotomy, intestinal resection and anastomosis, anal sacculectomy, perineal hernia surgery and vulvoplasty.
