Basic Surgical Procedures for General Practitioners

During this course, participants will hear the most up-to-date information regarding urinary and gastrointestinal tract diseases and surgery as well as management of common cutaneous and subcutaneous oncologic disease. Lectures will be followed by laboratories that focus on having the participants perform the same procedures that were highlighted during the lectures. At the end of this course, participants will feel comfortable with many different urinary tract and gastrointestinal procedures, with a focus on procedures such as cystotomy, urethrostomy, gastrotomy, biopsy, splenectomy and removal of mast cell tumors and soft tissue sarcomas
